Thankful for My Shepard, Part 2

Psalm 23 has always been a passage of Scripture that, for the Christian, brings quiet to a worried mind, calm to a troubled soul, and comfort to a burdened heart, because it speaks of the Good Shepherd’s love for his flock. In part 2, we will see three reasons why it’s always a good thing to follow the Good Shepherd which lead us to even greater thanksgiving. (Psalm 23: 3-4)

Quiet! Be Still!

How do you respond when caught in the sudden storms of life? Are you tempted to give in to worry and fear or do you lean harder on God? In this familiar account of the disciples getting caught in the middle of the sea with Jesus during a deluge, we learn three things about God and ourselves that will help us when we are overtaken by disaster.

How God’s Kingdom Grows

Have you ever wondered how God’s kingdom grows and what part you play in it? You can’t see anything; it seems like you can’t say anything, yet God does it anyway. You will be encouraged as you listen to three parables from Jesus about how God continues to do his work regardless of what we see.

The Parable of the Four Hearts – Part 2

Jesus said that there are four types of people who listen to his teachings, and how they respond shows the type of hearts they have toward God. Which are you? The Hard Heart, the Stony Heart, the Divided Heart or the Good Heart?

Jesus – Fanatic, Fiend or Family

Jesus is many things to many people. To his own relatives, he was a fanatic, someone to be rescued from himself. To the religious leaders, he was a fiend, an emissary of Satan. But to Jesus, if you believed in him and did God’s will are part of his family. Who do you think he is?

Win, Equip, Send

The buck does not stop here at Community Church of the Hills because we want to further the kingdom by winning people to Jesus, equipping them for service and sending them out. Here’s the initial plan….

Are You Out of Your Mind

What would happen if you truly lived your life for Jesus, recklessly abandoned, not caring what others thought of you? Do you think God might use your zeal for his purposes? They said Jesus was out of his mind because of what he was doing and look what he accomplished. You will be encouraged to risk for God after listening to this message.

Sharing Your Faith With One Question

Mark 16:15 – Why is believing in Jesus so important? How does historical Christian belief differ from the cults and what is at stake? Your very eternity depends on the answers to these questions which you will get through this message.
